Thanks for the link - I was not sure I landed on a drum forum or an ad based system :) Ads popping up and ads between threads, I got lost :) Ads on the side and ads from the bottom. All kidding aside, they do what they do and we do what we do... enough said about that.
I never wanted the forum to necessarily be a community as such. I wanted it to be a resource free of previously mentioned ads, for the preservation of history. The forum is dead per say, but the history is not. I'm signing up new members that need help and want information on a regular basis. That is why I turned off open-ended registrations. People are contacting me, explaining their life a little and what they need help with. It is more personal and how I handle it now.
I'm securing the future of the forum and preserving it without any ads, board members, company meetings, planning commissions, outside influences and levels of management etc..
Simple and secure.
With all of that said, I'm close to geting back on track, which I know I have said many times, but I have history that no one else has. It is rather daunting, but I know I will get to it and it will only add to the history already on the Vintage Drum Guide.
Thanks everyone for keeping things on an even keel and supporting the forum how you can when you can.
