What's your favorite drummer quote? What's a quote originally said by you?
My favorite quote is "I consider every drummer that ever played before me an influence, in every way." -Buddy Rich

Not exactly a quote by a drummer, but more about a drummer: "I played with a drum machine for years. His name was Al Jackson Jr."- Steve Cropper
This one's from A Hard Days Night....one of my favs: "You've got an inferiority complex you have"-George to Ringo. "I know, that's why I play the drooms. It's me active compensatory factor."-Ringo to George.....

Don't know if this is word for word, but it's something like this.
Don't ever call me your drummer again.
You're my singer and don't ever fxxxxxxx forget it.
Charlie Watts to Mick Jager

LOVE IT! THAT IS SO AWESOME! haha. Is there like a clip of him saying this or something?
I just did a little research on it. The article says...
The final straw was Jagger's unscheduled wake-up call to Watts during a band meeting in Amsterdam in October 1984. Richards and Jagger had gone out boozing, returning to Richard's room at five in the morning. Watts was fast asleep. Nevertheless, Jagger dialed his room, bawling "Is that my drummer? Why don't you get your arse down here?"
Watts reportedly got up, shaved, got dressed in a custom-made Savile Row suit, put on a crisply knotted tie and freshly shined shoes, came downstairs, and-in Richards' words-"dished him out a great f**king right hook." Jagger was knocked into a plate of smoked salmon, and Richards had to grab his leg to prevent him from sliding along the table, out the open window and into a canal 20 stories below. "Don't ever call me 'your drummer' again," Watts told Jagger. "You're my f**king singer."
A few of Buddy's I love:
"It's not braggin' if you can back it up."
And when Milt Holland asked Buddy why he hired Hal Blaine to play drums on Buddy's daughter Cathy's solo album instead of playing drums himself he said "because I wanted the best".
One of my favorites from Gene Krupa, and I always try to live up to this:
"I'll never play a drum solo you can't dance to."
That's a pretty powerful one.

Very nice ones.
I find this quote funny.

And the one in my signature.
