Thanks for that Mike.
Yes that could well be what the OP bought. That one is still on offer, but using the item description in a search of completed auctions I see that one of them sold on June 4th, plus another 6 sales of the same model back to March 23rd. So the timetable fits.
The text of the ads does say that it is B-stock and that it is new. Maybe the OP just doesn't happen to know what B-stock implies about the drum (eg Blue/Olive badge without serial number) and that modern ones don't have tone controls. I remember tut tutting when Ludwig introduced the Blue/Olive badge without serial number for B-stock drums saying "this will cause problems later on in the used market". I didn't expect it to cause trouble in the new market as well, but I guess I should have seen that possibility.
I can't say for sure if the OP bought one of these specific auctions or if he bought his drum in a different auction where the B-stock wasn't disclosed. He didn't explicitly say whether the drum he purchased was new or not. If he had said new then we would have known what to tell him about Blue/Olive badge without serial number and tone control. Certainly his verbal description is of a B-stock drum. So I'd say case closed unless we get some new information.
