Just found this beautiful 20" K in Istanbul. This stamp don't say "ISTANBUL" or "Constantinople".Otherwise looks very much like a real K. Condition is amazing so a lot of room for doubt about originality. Please help ASAP.

Well, first, you should have started a new thread. This one has been inactive for 3 1/2 years. Second I have my doubts about this cymbal, although I am not an expert. First of course its missing the Istanbul. I don't know for sure whether that is part an an integrated stamp or added separately, but it is something to be concerned about. You unfortunately didn't take the picture straight overhead so the perspective of the components is off. Based on the moon and star and tightly wrapped "MADE IN TURKEY" this is clearly intended to look like a new stamp from the late '60s to the late '70s. I have two examples of this type, and the font on both of mine for K. ZILDJIAN & Co and ZILDJIAN is much narrower than on this example. Further, it appears narrower on photos from Drumaholic as well. The D especially looks too round and the A too wide. Additionally, the o in the Co looks too tall and too close to the C. The K. Zildjian also looks a bit too close to the Arabic script. While these all may nave been affected by the angle at which the photo was taken, I would think that angle would make everything look narrower, not wider. I think the font is just wrong. Until Drumaholic chimes in with a different opinion, I think this cymbal is likely a fake.
