Although this is a big story, I will make it very simple.
I purchased a ludwig 'fab four' kit on ebay, thinking it was real. ( it was advertised as 'all geniune ludwig'.) Once I actual got the kit, and looked at it, I could tell immediatley It was bogus.
I contacted the seller and requested a refund, and a return to sender. He did'nt reply after about a week, so I filed a claim with paypal .
If I don't do anything about it, I'm out about 1000$. That's a hefty sum for an unemployed student. For paypal to give me my money back, they requested the following.
"Please obtain a document from an unbiased, third-party, such as a dealer,
appraiser, or another individual or organization that is qualified in the
area of the item in question (other than yourself), which clearly
identifies the item as not authentic. If possible, the document should
include a serial number and description of the item, and must be on
letterhead that includes the name, address, and phone number of the
individual, business, or organization so that PayPal may contact them if
necessary. "
I've got about a week to do this, and none of the local music around my place sell ludwig.
If any one of you qualify as a reputable expert, I would appreciate it immensely If you would help me out. I have pictures here
I can send more pictures and information if I have too.
thanks
