Hi Folks!
So, I came across this memory lock that I recently picked up along with a random lot of drum parts, etc. Its design is a bit elaborate (for a memory lock) and I've not seen anything like it before. Several google fishing expeditions and reviews of my vintage catalog scans and I am at a loss as to who made it.
I have speculated a couple of ideas as to what it's for. One, perhaps this is a combination design of stand tube clamp collar and memory lock. The other is maybe this came from a heavy duty telescoping boom cymbal or tom holder stand from the 1980s (but definitely NOT Tama).
If anyone has any insights on this piece, I would sure love to hear from you. Pictures/Links are below. Thanks for taking the time to read this!
Best regards,
Chris
