Evans Hazy 300?

Loading...

Hey Guys,

I'm putting new heads on my 65 Slingerland Student snare.

I read a lot of good things about the Evans Hazy 300 for the snare side and figured I would try something different so my awesome wife picked one up for me today.

The problem is the head and the box say "snare side 300" and the head looks pretty clear to me.

So I looked at Evan's website and can't find anything for a Hazy 300.

Is the "Hazy 300" and the "snare side 300" the same thing?

Thanks

As PressRoll stated, they are the same thing. What has always been confusing for many is the "hazy" part. Not sure why they call it that, as it's pretty darn clear!

No, they are not 'hazy' at all! The first time I bought one I thought someone at the music store had swapped out the head in the box for something else. Salesman told me, no. That's the way the buggers come right out of the box. Great heads BTW, I use them all the time. Why they call them 'hazy' is anybody's guess. :p

Too many great drums to list here!
