I recently bought a kit of Englad made Rogers. All i know is that the English rogers kits are made in birch instead of maple, and that there was a company called Hawkes & Son who joined forces with Rogers USA and made Rogers sets under license from the american company between 1961 and 1968. Is there anyway to figure out more specificly when they are made, how much they are worth and what kind of quality the shells are. The sound really good, but it would be fun to know more about them. I paid about 475$ (3800 swedish Kronor) but ALL of the swiv-o-matic parts are gone and replaced with other hardware. Please let me know if you know anything about English made Rogers.

You may want to check with Rob Cook at rebeats.com. He wrote a book on Rogers drums and has a short section about the English/Rogers connection.
