Hello to all

I have a buyer who bought brand new cymbal, with exact video shown and as described and after 14 day limit he wan's to return it

He is "satisfied with sound but it is extremely unbalanced"

Of course, he have right to do it

How it works now, because it is first time this happened to me?

He send it to me and when I get it and check if it is same cymbal and same condition as send , I refund him money via paypal?

Or it goes through ebay complaint procedure, open case etc...?

Also, is ebay and paypal refund me fees?

Thank you guys

To initiate the return the buyer should ask to return it through ebay- it's one of the choices on the buyer's dropdown menu. You should be able to refund through ebay as well.

If you have a problem with the returned item you should go through ebay to resolve it. Take photos of the box and of the cymbal when it arrives.

Good luck.

I had a guy that bought a drum from me he said it was great. He even left me positive feedback as goods were as described. About a week later he said he would like to return as he has got another drum. I refused and told him unless it was not to description or was faulty then no return. I also consulted ebay they said i dont have to accept the return for the reason he was giving. Basically he just wanted to return it.....Consult ebay first and open a case and go from there. ...sean

Thank you guys!

I told him to go through ebay procedure

BTW he asked me to send him another one instead, but I am refusing that, since I sent him correct one, as described

Thanks again

I don't do eBay anymore too many idiots in old days as is worked now it dont

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

He now wants me to pay shipping from him to me, after playing brand new cymbal for 11 days and found it defective

How should I react now?

If the item is defective the seller pays return shipping. If the buyer simply changes their mind the buyer typically pays for return shipping, but that also depends on how your return policy is set up on ebay.

Ebay favors buyers in most cases, but you might try making a case with ebay customer service that the buyer has simply changed their mind on the purchase (since you had a video recording of the cymbal).

Either way, the odds are against you if the buyer claims it's defective.

Go through ebay on everything, especially if the returned cymbal is not in the same condition as it was sent.
