I had two Yay hoos in the past two weeks do the same thing to me on the same item. Won the bid and no pay. Second time I listed as no feedback don't bid. The last day of the auction I see this 0 bidder jacking up the price so I cancelled his bids. Item should have gone for no more than $75.00. When you cancel someone bids you can see how much reserve they put on an item. This chum had jacked up his price to $500.00Lame
ebay rant!!! I don't like newbies!!!
“I did not trip and fall. I attacked the floor and I believe I am winning.”
I have an Item up on ebay right now and my first bidder was a 0 and I'm thinking.."Crap, someone is going to think I'm shilling.." Luckily he's fallen off the back and I hope he stays there.
49 - WFL Ray McKinley - 26, 13, 16
58 - Slingerland Duco
58 - Slingerland Krupa Deluxe
70 - Ludwig Champagne Sparkle - 20, 12, 14
70 - Ludwig Champagne Sparkle - 22 (need), 13, 16
And some others..
I haven't sold anything in quite awhile -not since a lot of the rules changed, but I always used to put in a clause that stated that all zero bidders will be rejected and that I required at least 10 previous transactions with no negative feedback. But, I presume you can't do that any longer -?

My negative feedback and strikes ban still holds when I list stuff, but dunno if it's different on E-bay US. I don't ban zero bidders because, hey, we were all a zero bidder once!
Premier Genista, 22, 16, 13, 12 Black Lacquer
Premier Genista, 20, 14, 10 and snare Black Lacquer
Premier Resonator 22, 16, 14, 13 poly creme/black
Zickos 22, 16, 14, 13, clear acrylic and snare
That's true, but EBay has been in place for a long time now and I feel that when I'm selling some valuable vintage gear, I want some people with some history behind them. I'm fine with a newbie bidder coming in on auctions where I'm selling an old telephone or some candlesticks or something.

I am amazed that anyone even uses the cyber fleamarket!! There are probably like ten million posts on here on how bad that place is yet they keep going back....................WHYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You run into a brick wall. It hurts. You run into the same brick wall at a later time. It still hurts just as bad. You run into the same brick wall a third time. It hurts as bad as the first time.................

I have very few problems with eBay. I read the rules when they are updated and I do business the way they want it done.
Follow the rules and eBay is a great place to buy and sell. I have over 1000 feedback (which means 2000 or 3000 transactions) and I have had 2 or 3 bad experiences and only 1 bad feedback. And, I have never left bad feedback for anyone.
And, when something bad does happen, PayPal is right there to make it right.
A lot of people I talk to that don't like eBay simply won't play by the rules. They want eBay to do it THEIR way and they never want anything to change.
Sorry, it doesn't work that way. Just like most things in life, if you play by the rules, the games goes much smoother.
Shucks, I sold my old socks on eBay last month. I never throw anything away. I put all my old crap on eBay and I've never not sold an item. Old shoes. Chewed up dogs toys. Empty boxes. Doll heads and feet. These are just a few things I have sold on eBay.
All those things are paid for via Paypal and the money goes into the Paypal account. Then, I use the money to buy the 1959 Ludwig drum set I bought a few months ago.
So, the way I look at it, thanks to eBay , I was able to trade my old shoes and socks for a classic vintage Ludwig drum set.
How can anyone not love eBay. LOL
Now that would make an interesting thread. Articles of clothing eqivelent to a particular drum manufacturer.
Shoes and socks = Ludwig
slacks = slingerland
suit coat = Rogers
fedora = gretsch
underwear and bra = MIJ
Paisley shirt = premier
now that would be a fun thread.
Get your bid in on this one early. Everyone wants to own a Rogers for $1.00
How can this guy have 149 feedback?

Ha Ha.. I wonder what that could be..something related to Mister Rogers? LOL
The reason I said this is because when I clicked on the link, it showed only the word Rogers with no picture or detailed explanation of what the item is you're to bid on! Now the link shows what it is.
