Ebay bidding? Last viewed: 9 minutes ago

I have a question regarding bidding on eBay

I recently bid on a drum with 7 days left to go. I checked the next day to see how the bidding was going only to see the auction was ended with 0 bids???

I bid using my USA address (my ship-to address) as my Primary so there would be no problem if the sell did not/or could not ship to Canada.

I sent the seller a message and this is what I got back today.

no, can't insure to Canada so i don't ship high dollar items there. Ebay keeps sowing that I'm offering international shipping in that item, they still wanted to charge me final value fee so i won't relist it till they credit me back.

I'm confused

If a sellers gets an offer that is to good to be true,he will stop the auction and sell the item outright.Everybody has done it,just a thing you have to deal with. Send the seller a note to see if he has another ,of the same item.Sometimes that works. Good Luck,Vati

He said he didn't accept my bid because I was in Canada and he doesn't ship to Canada. That's strange because I bid using my USA address.

Regarding asking to see if he has another:

The item is a rare 1947 Gretsch Gladstone snare drum....Probably the only one like it out there.

When I sent him an email back this morning advising that I big using my USA address he hasn't gotten back to me yet.
