Hi, i have bought a pre serial number blue sparkle ludwig unusually this is manogany poplar maple shell but the paint on the hoops is a dark blue colour not black can anyone tell me what shade of blue was ised as ths was a practice on early blue.silver and gold sparkle bass drums so i believe, also when did ludwig stop and make them all black ? thanks your help much appreciated

The blue hoops were factory issue on many of the duco blue and blue sparkle drums from that period.
