Dynasonic

Could anyone tell me the difference between a Rogers Dynasonic that has 5 lines around it as opposed to one with 7 lines.

Does this have to do with what year they were made?

Yep it does have something to do with what year they where made. I am sure someone will chime in with exact dates but the seven line Dyna's where early 60's and the five line Dyna's mid 60's onwards. I was lucky to find a nice seven line Dynasonic from 1964 (I think) for AU$250, my only real bargin so far. Still can't get it to sound as good as my old Ludwig snares though.

The seven line was produced from the beginning through to about number 11,000. There have been a few low 11,000 five line drums make it to ebay lately. That would be about 1967. Mine is a mid 10xxx drum.

For proper set up.........use this.

Nice one. Thanks for the info.

It's hard to get anything Rogers out here in the U.K.

Been a fan of Rogers since I was a kid. Had a Cherry wood finsh Londoner 5 when I was younger and living in New Zealand. Wish I still had it.
