Hi everyone. I haven't been on this forum in quite a while, but I wanted to let you all know that the Music Go Round store in Aurora, Colorado, has a 1930s Duplex "Spirit of St. Louis" set for sale right now. You can see it by going to their website. Considering how old it is, it's in pretty decent shape. And the snare is unusual and really cool--it's made of very thick pressed brass with the rims mounted on top of it. Unfortunately, though, they are selling it off by the piece, so if there are any collectors out there who are interested, this would be the time to check it out.

Also, the website says that the bass drum is in-store pickup only, but Music Go Rounds are independently-owned franchises, so they might be willing to work something out if you're not in the area.

Just to let you all know, too--***I HAVE NO CONNECTION TO THIS STORE.*** I was in there yesterday and just happened to see it. Duplex drums are pretty rare, so I'd really like to see this set end up with a collector who is going to take care of it. So, I thought I'd let you all know about it.
