LOL.. I don't know if I should really ask this or not. Probably a stupid question ?

Wood Fiberglass / Wood solid shells .

Is that fiberglass strayed over the wood inside the shells .

Fiberglass is mix in the wood to make the drum shells .

I really don't know what I am trying to ask or say here.

Or

Is the wood is laird with fiberglass . I really don't know how this works

In the case of Pearl's W/F shells, they are mahogany (lauan?) shells with a layer of fiberglass on the inside.
