Talking to my friend last week, he reminded me that back in the 80s he had a Ludwig Super Classic (power toms) set with Mach lugs & Modular hardware, said it was the heaviest set he'd owned to this day.

I remember seeing the ads for those, you could get them with their massive die-cast hoops too, all that adds up to a very heavy drum :eek:

The floor tom alone probably weighed half as much as a whole '60s Downbeat LoLoLoLo

I liked the look though :)
