Downsize! I did many moons ago and even though I regret selling a couple of items, it is very liberating and the cash went to a good cause, me! Now I'm much more selective mostly because of space but I don't want to rent storage space for drums ever again. Take that bucket list trip, good luck! PS, I do have a small area available in my condo for a 50's WFL Super 400 if you need to liberate one.
Do you ever feel overwhelmed with all your gear?
No, but, my wife does!!
Cheers

Take detailed pics of the stuff and you behind the kits...etc.
After selling you can say, "See, I used to have one of those" and it wont feel so bad. Mister T
It is very interesting to read all your posts, mates.
I have downsized by one-third (well ... from six to four kits ... lol) and feel much better now: three Royal Star's and a Prem Heritage Club Kit, all 4-pc kits with each two rack toms.
Exactly writing down all parts of my gear is also according to my temperament. I even have an excel list since the beginning of my activities in buying and reselling each and every single part (... so I know that I'm still in the red :D ...).
V, I would try to think about it sound-wise: if a kit (although perhaps very rare, etc.) doesn't give you the 'kick' with it's sound, I'll let it go first. Decisions will be easier to make with the cymbals, perhaps ...

I notice a few of you have suggested getting to one brand. I did that some time ago and I've passed on some beauties of other manufacturers, but it is a bit easier to focus on a single name. In my case, it is Rogers and I have colors I like and colors I don't like. That cuts it down again. Now I need to let go of redundant colors!
