I came across two different types of P83 strainers.

I included a photograph and made some red marks on it to make things more clear. The left one comes from a Supraphonic 400 snare, the right one I think comes from a wood marching drum.

When mounting the right one the lever doesn't come this far from of the shell and so doesn't fit verry well on a Supraphonic since the lever doesn't fall gently next to the nearest lug when dropped but fals against it and can't be dropped entierely.
