Difference in 50s and 70s Zildjian Stamps?

Is there really a way to tell the difference in these two stamps?

It seems on Ebay listings, most of the pics offered will have a decent shot of the stamp, but miserable shots showing hammering and lathe patterns.

Not that I know that much about those either..... but it appears to me anyway, that lighting, camera angles, patina, and discolorations can severely accentuate or obscure lathing and hammering.

So it brings a less-than-knowledgeable fella such as myself to rely most heavily on the stamp itself.

I've saved posted pics from this Forum over the years, but I just can't tell the difference in 50s and 70s, excepting Trans Stamps and Hollow Block, of course....

Help?

Thanks

Kev

There are several ways to check. One big difference is the vertical alignment of the H in Turkish and the E in made. In the 70's stamps, the H is further over to the right. On the 50's stamps, they line up nicely.

Forum member Zenstat's pages explain all of this and more with some good pics as well.
