Diamond in the rough? Last viewed: 9 hours ago

From Kona

The snare drum is cleaned and put together - in good company with one of my Gretsch kits here. I may tuck calfhide on the snare and the rest of the kit but for now I will use plastic heads - a used Gretsch Permatone here. The snare and the rest of the shells cleaned great. No damage to the red sparkle wrap other than a little fade and a few small scuff marks here and there - nothing of any concern. All the shells are 3ply and very good condition. The bearing edges are in excellent shape. Hardware is good - some rust - I like removing rust.....part of the fun.I like the bass drum hoops the way they are - with some of the paint worn off....I think I'll leave it like that.

WOW those look great ! I cannot wait to see them all back together and set up .

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..

thanks Mark - I have a IIIb Old Stamp - 18.5" and it's one of my favourites. I'm not going to clean this little 15m - probably use it with my 18.5.

Man.....the hats are 'pie-plates'! Old (I think) Japanese 14's. Not much action but I will use them just to see if I can get somewhat of a 'cymbal' sound out of them.

The Hihat is all there and works fine.
