Ok, just for laughs it's time for an unofficial poll.
The contenders:
Kit 1 Gretsch rb 13,22, early 70's 16, all have 6ply Jasper shells with the silver interior, the tom and floor were refinished to match the kick-$650.
Kit 2 Ludwig keystone, 13,16,22, clear interiors, no tom post-$950.
How about both!

Hard decision. I'm a Ludwig guy... but that said, I kind of like that Gretsch kit and my pocketbook would agree.
I didn't select one or the other because I've got all the Ludwig kit(s) I need.. I might jump on that Gretsch though. maybe.. :confused:
I was leaning towards the Gretsch because I have a pre-serial number Ludwig in the same sizes. But the Ludwig is more original and it has the clear interiors. I like both finishes, so I guess it's just a matter of how much I want to spend.
I like the Gretsch kit. They have a good look to them and the price is right. But the Ludwigs are closer to original and I think you'd get you money back easily on those. I'd try to find one of the newer Ludwig tom posts that is set up for one tom. It fits in the original mounts and looks good. The original double arms with only one tom accents the fact that it's missing a tom. Just a thought.

With as many kits that you flip, I would go with the drums that will be easier to sell, when you’re done with them.
That's a good point, I'm buying the Ludwig.
