I don't think area really matters. It is just called looking. If I knew your location I bet I could find an amazing set for you. And I haven't taken the hook on any deals other than some champagne sparkle and red sparkle 60's ludwigs missing parts.

The worst is I passed up a BDP WFL 3pc set with matching snare and all original hardware and zildjian cymbals for $350. Since then I have started looking for stuff.
