The industry does not "make you". Your talent does. The industry only takes notice once they believe there is money to be made off of your talent. SC

The industry absolutely ALLOWS your talent to be seen, heard, etc., therefore making you. So maybe it was their "talent" that was lacking?!?! But of course to people like you it is about skin color NOT talent!!

Looking for a late 80's to early 90's, preferably Arctic White Pearl MLX 14x14 floor tom.

That show was a total farce! My goodness, Chris Rock was out of control, when he told Slyvester Stalone his Rocky movies were like science fiction because it made white athletes look as good as black athletes, Stallone looked like he wanted to punch him out.

Sly should've said "some people are better athletes and others are better actors". Knowing it's not true but beating him at his own game.

Believe it or else!

Any closer to political and the hammer's gonna' drop on this thread. Maybe better if we get back to Dave Grohl.

You're right, I deleted my last post. David Grohl was very good, but I thought "In My Life" would had been a more appropriate song.

I thought the Blackbird thing was a rip off of that dude who played it for his prematurely born kid that went viral on youtube about a year ago? If you haven't seen it, it will pretty much rip the heart out of your chest.

Given Grohl was playing it during the viewing of the past year's celebrities who passed away, making it a similar affair, it didn't hold a candle to that poor guy who lost everything.

I sort of like Grohl though, except he was in the band that put a nail in the coffin of hair metal, which by default, I have to hate.

Well, someone had to, that was probably the worst decade for rock & roll.

Not a fan of awards shows although I will watch a musical performance on the web afterwards if it's someone I like. I don't want to wade through all the other stuff. While my son and wife love Grohl and the Foo Fighters, his/their music doesn't do anything for me. It's probably my age. . . .James

I usually let asinine comments like this slide, but this is the most ignorant and flagrant assumption I've seen as a response to something I said that had absolutely nothing to do with race or the color of a persons skin.

Its easy to sit behind your computer and make comments like these, but try to show a little respect for this forum and the people that belong to it.
