He would have been 62 years old, man do I miss him he's my Number 1 favorite drummer!! this was a bad time, We lost Moonie, then John Henry Bonham, I guess the Heavens needed some thunder!!

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

i have to agree vintage, he was THE man!! no doubt!!!

i was 8 years old when my dad got me the song remains the same for christmas(1981), and it blew me away.

i went through 3 copies until i got it on dvd!!!

certainly a sad loss. :(

Back in 1980 I lived on the west coast of Florida and someone had spray painted "Bonham Lives" on a pier at the beach. I was 11 or so at the time and had no idea who he was or what the message meant. Five years later I did and I scrawled the same message on the inside of my marching snare drum carrier. And when some punk freshman bass drum player would ask me what it meant, I would tell them that it means the greatest drummer that had ever lived...lives on. BONHAM LIVES!!!

Cheesy, but true story!!

great story ludwig.

he certainly had a massive affect on a lot of drummers.

such a hard hitter, but a deft touch with it.

i know it's a cliche, but NO-ONE will ever play like bonzo!!

i love roger taylor from queen. he's the reason i picked up stix in the first place, so he is my main influence, but once i'd heard mr bonham, it opened me up to some different styles of playing.

now, every time we're writing, sub conciously, there's bonzo, in the back of my head saying " keep it simple, but give them some drums that people will talk about"
