Cymbal stand 'clip,' and Mystery Stand--??

Two pics attached. One is of a cymbal stand topper nut with a rotating 'clip', to eliminate the wing nut on the top of the stand. I believe Zildjian marketed these -- these are for 6 mm thread. Anyone know a who what when where?

Same for the picture of the stand. Flat based stand, with wing bolts that match the Ludwigs. But the fastener for the top tier is a different style. It's not drilled through the tube; a pretty good idea, really, cuz one less threaded hole to strip.

I like the stands --and those wing bolts are no longer available, so that's a real bonus.

Ideas??

Ludwig's early-mid 60's 1400 cymbal stands have that function that you mention. That looks like what you have there. Zildjian's cymbal toppers with the flip lever were called Zil-Snaps. I've got a few. Yours look a little different than mine. I don't recall anyone else making them though. Maybe someone knows for sure. Could have been different versions, new/old.

Thanks, Mike -- I thought the stands were Ludwigs, but based only on the hardware.Maybe we'll get more opinions. (What? Here?)

Zil-snaps. The part that strikes me as odd is how small the chrome washers are, but they can be changed if it's a problem.

Ringo's 1400 stands had those separate pieces to hold the top tube (as did every other Ludwig drummer's 1400 stand prior to 1965 or so).

All the Zil-Snaps I've ever seen have a rounded top making them sort of bullet shaped. They also just replaced the wing nut of the stand and did not include a washer base or felt. I don't know why yours are different but I suspect that they are not from Zildjian but another product using a similar design.

I had some Zil-Snaps and I also remember them being more bullet shaped.
