The ol' rabbit needs a table saw. That would be very, very easy. I have n old espresso machine for the rings.
Its not that hard to do. Anyone familiar with woodworking tools can do it.

Another way to cut the shell down is by a hand saw..Remove all the parts from the drum.Then mark the drum 2" up mark the drum with a pen all the way around the drum.Used tape around the drum-put tape on the side of line that is NOT going to be cut off--Then cut with hand saw..Mikey

Looks like a good setup but I'd like to see rollers on both sides of the blade.
Make sure you use an appropriate saw blade on the table saw.
