Cowbell

I know these three things go together but I can't figure out how. I have a nicer, shinier bell but I like this one.

These were in the Ludwig box with the cymbals. Anyone have any Ideas?

The cowbell looks like a Ludwig Bronze,..check it with a magnet. The block is ...a block, hit the top (thin part),...the cords look like mic leads !!

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

The underside "Hoop Clamp" And bolt/nut/washer are missing, as is the cowbell clamp.. the latter you can pick up anywhere.. the wood block should have 2 holes that sit on to the posts..

Cheers

Here you go:

The dual holder clamps on to the top of the bass drum hoop closest to you.

Mine is a Ludwig holder, Ludwig block & a Latin Percussion cowbell, all from 1967.

For those of us that remember the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, and tucking our heads between our knees under the desk in case of nuclear attack, there was another form of fallout. The US embargoed all percussion instruments (and a lot of other stuff) from Cuba that used to come to the USA. A guy in NYC started the company called Latin Percussion a few years later to remedy the shortages. Mine would have been almost a prototype in the early years of production.
