That old kit is super cool, but when it is wrapped in family history too, it's just priceless.

My grandfather was not as cool as that guy's...corn farmer, but my wife's granddad was a professional poker player and dice hustler back in the depression era. His nickname was "Black Frank." He was a Polish immigrant, but would get really tan in the summer, hence the name.

Stop stringing and tuning your instrument, make music now.

Holds up some cord/wire and then says, "I don't think this was an electronic drum kit..Let's see what this does"...;) Sounds to me like it's electrical cord used to light up the bulbs inside the bass drum and it's reso head artwork !, or maybe heating it to dry up the calf skin heads when humidity would set in..I think Ludwig would be very interested in this kit for their museum, that is, if they have one..What a great video ! I can almost smell the interiors of those cases. Like being in an antique furniture store.. ;)

Thanks for sharing !
