Has anyone converted a concert snare drum to a jazz festival? I have a modified concert snare 6.5 that I would love to convert to a 5. It’s a preserial. It was rewrapped by its previous owner in a very rare NOS wrap so is not original but exactly matches my kit also in the rare wrap from factory. I love the jazz festival tone. Can this be done successfully?
Convert Ludwig Concert Snare Drum to Jazz Festival
Yes, It can be done. But why?
1976 Ludwig Stainless Steel "Bop" (12,14,18)

Might be a better play to trade the Concert model for a Jazzfest.

Don't modify it. That's a great drum. I'd buy a Jazz Festival if it were me...or even a Pioneer. But i'd leave the 6.5 as is.
Oddball yes it is OBP. Thanks for the advice guys. I’m coming round to your way of thinking. Perhaps best to leave as is and search for another solution which I fear I may not find. Any other thoughts?
Our way of thinking is that 6.5 get`s cut it`s gone. When you do find it, you wont like it`s price. People are stupid crazy with OBP jazz fests.
