clubdate lug designs???

I was just looking at some clubdate-type drums on E-bay, and I noticed that

the lugs on the bass and rack tom were center-mount location, and the floor

tom was the usual spaced toward the ends of the shell design. What's the

explanation for this?? Is this the norm? I thought that all lugs were of the center-mount type? Anyone know about this?

maybe it was cut down or re wrap as they all are the center position from factory

Floor tom is an added Classic. A lot of kits out there that way. Bought as a 3 piece, then added a floor tom later. It'll sound fine. Same shells, just different lugs.....
