Cleaning the grime off chrome-plated snares

Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend the best type cloth to clean the grime off a chrome-plated snare drum? Or what cloths to avoid? I'm thinking of Supraphonics, since those are the only chrome-plated snares that I own.

I'm wondering if the soft little cloths that come with eye-glasses might be the least abrasive...I've tried a few different cloths, but I find fine little scratches that I think are caused by the cloths.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, mb

Don't wipe the shell dry. Always use some chrome cleaner to help prevent scratches. I use microfiber cloths without issues.
