Loading...

I just bought a 50,s Slingerland Duco

Black and gold snare drum and was wondering

What the best products to use to clean and preserve

It. Paint is nice with no chips

Thanks

Cleaning would be warm/hot water and damp micro fibre towels to start. I'll leave preserving to the more knowledgeable folks. A top notch car paste wax would be my guess.

Nothing special here but I like them.

I have a few Duco finished drums. After cleaning with a damp rag and then drying I put a couple of coats of furniture paste wax on them. Does the job for me.

I've used Meguiars Mirror Glaze #7 on guitar finishes for years. Works on painted drum finishes, too. Go easy if the finish is checked. Use after initial cleaning.
