This is a newly completed Ludwig Tribute kit, using vintage A.F.Blaemire fiberglass shells.
This is my third Ludwig Tribute kit.
I have always liked Ludwig's Citrus Mod wrap (I am a child of the Psychedelic 70"s) and I have been wanting to do a kit with Mach Lugs. When I got the group of 14 Blaemire fiberglass shells that I have been selling here, I started to sell the 12-16-22 as a unfinished shell pack. But just as I started getting interest in them, I realize I wanted to do this project for myself. I had planed on selling this kit...but of course things change. I love the way it came out and I am now playing in the 70's funk band. This kit has the perfect wrap for that era and music.
Ludwig never used Mach lugs and Citrus Mod together, but this is more of a custom "one off" than a era specific replica.
I have a a set of custom badges coming that will replace these Ludwig restoration badges. I really wanted to have them for these shots...but I found out yesterday that it may be a couple more weeks. I will post them here when I get them. They are interesting....to say the least. They are coming from JM Smith Custom. Joshua did a great job on this badge for me.
I love building these hybrid, Ludwig/Blaemire kits. They look good and sound outstanding!!
