What is the Chicago drum fair like, is it worth a visit? What else is there in Chicago?
Chicago drum fair
Absolutely worth coming in to attend, and Vic's Drum Shop is a pretty amazing place with an incomparable selection of stuff. I know there's another amazing store there, I don't recall the name. There's also a lot to do in Chicago if you add a few days. Food is great, shopping, or just hang out on the shore of Lake Michigan.

Chicago Music Exchange: 3326 N. Lincoln Ave 60657. A bit pricey, but they'll haggle and the service is great ... they included shipping when I bought a snare drum from them when I visited the store on a vacation.
Chicago is a fantastic place to visit. Great food and cultural opportunities. Plenty of music, local and national. Easy transit to downtown from the airport.

Thanks guys, sounds good.
I always like the networking it's a lot of fun but it's a hard sell on full kits unless you want to give them away but orphans and hardware always sell ... Either way a feast for the eyes and maybe not so much the ears lol

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
The Chicago Drum Show has moved from Kane Co. fairgrounds to Villa Park, IL. starting this year.
