Checking in... With bad news... Last viewed: 42 seconds ago

I haven't been around here in a while, but I'm still around other parts.

I received some bad news last week from Long Island Drum center (I stopped in to see what was cookin')

As a lover and player of Yamaha Recording Customs for a long time now (20 years!!), I was shocked to find out that the RC line is to be dropped, and no new orders will be taken after Friday. I think that is this coming Friday (July 5) but it may have been last Friday actually.

I checked on a non-YESS 12" tom for my bop kit and no dice. I did grab a pair of new lacquered 18" hoops for my bass, and I'm glad I did!

So, just wanted to say hello to everyone and pass on that news. Not good news, but it is the end of a long run. Thirty-three years (or so) is a pretty long time for a single drum line. Any lines run longer uninterrupted than that?Hmmmm

I don't know about time lines, but I believe last Friday was your last opportunity to order those. That may have been the last day to order any Yamaha drums as you now know them.
