Lots of love for these OLDER shells, so which one do you feel made the better quality drum?..Not the new gear, but the decent shells from the 70,s

Answer;; Westbury, hands down. Solid shells, nice detail, no glaring flaws, traditional sizes, tight wrap etc

Weakness; hardware, not the best, but very few had solid stands back then...even the 6 lug cos snare bites back with conviction!

Thx for all the feedback.

I don't know anything about Westbury.

MIJ I'm guessing? Are they better than other MIJs? Just asking, because I really don't know. I'd like to see some pics.

Don't mean to annoy the drum snobbies here, but this traditional size Westbury jazz kit is quite remarkable, as is the 6 lug snare drum...esp the snare drum! Played a gospel 6 song set, and it proved to me...that the drummer makes the difference. There is no reason to feel ashamed to play these in public..regardless what THEY say.
