Hey guys, heading out on tour in a few weeks and I need to round up some cases...

I've never bought any before, and can't decide on bags vs. hard cases, or how much I should be paying.

Anyone bought from lsdrums on ebay?

He sells these: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-6-PC-NOMAD-ROCK-DRUM-CASE-SET-205-95_W0QQitemZ200585874177QQihZ010QQcategoryZ41449QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ht_1818wt_1141

Bags are for gigs that you haul your drums in your car with you. Hard cases are for when your gear gets packed up into the van, truck, etc. with all the other band gear. I use Protection racket bags. I've used the older Fibre Cases by Humes and Berg for decades, too. They are kind of lightweight case. They worked well for me for light touring situations, but for heavy road touring, I'd invest in some really good hard shell cases.

Ugh, that's what I was afraid of. A set of good hard cases for these is coming in at the 4-500 dollar range...I need that money for gas!

Just did the tally, 3057 miles on the road...

Thanks for your help (again) O
