Carlton

I've taken delivery of this Carlton "Classic" Snare (14x7). Not in the best of shape at the moment, but I think it'll clean up ok.

The lugs are neat (IMHO) and the finish is different.

I've linked to a bunch of pictures for those interested.

There's very little on the net regarding these drums,(apart from the company's transition to Hayman) so if anyone has some information or comment I'd appreciate the information.

Looks like there's an arm missing from the snare throw and the strainer is not quite complete (but I haven't figured out what yet)

There's some photo's at

They used those type lugs from about 1939 onward, the Catalog on this site is too old, need a more modern catalog, I've looked at one in the mid 50s and only the bongos still used those style lugs, so this snare maybe pre-war to just after WWII. I have a 1939 Carlton bass with the longer version of these lugs and I seen a 14 inch tom in the UK with the very same lugs
