so being a huge fan of Brian Blade, i came across these MIJ Canopus drums.
and man..do they sound good.
any of you guys ever played them/heard them in person?
i'd love to get a kit one day..but they're a little to much $$$ for me right now.
what do you guys think about them?

I haven't actually put my hands on any, but they sure seem to get a lot of accolades for their sound. Of course, I think Brian Blade could play the boxes the drums came in and sound better than most people, too! ;)
What's the story on the hardware, though? Is it just the standard issue Gibralter type stuff or do they have their own thing?
yea i just saw Brian Blade at the Chicago jazz fest. AMAZING.
got to meet/talk drums with him as well. very nice guy.
