Nice drums.

I believe this is where the original Fibes molds ended up.

I had a friend that played Milestone drums around 74` great sounding drums and you don`t see many of those kits at least not around my area in Ontario. If memory serves me correctly they have a pretty hefty weight to them.Love the Silver Sparkle finish too.Killer under stage lighting.

Love those drums!!!..However, if they were mine i,d be shortening the length of some of those tubes coming into the toms. I know they affect wood shells but maybe they aren,t a factor with FG shells..im not sureCool1

They are quite light actually even the 24x18, the shells are only 3mm, and as for the tom arms they probably do affect the sound but the 12+13 have the long arms inside and the depth of sound I can get is amazing, the 13x11 can sound deeper than a 14x14 floor tom on some kits I've had. Thanks for the compliments they are in such incredible shape for 40 years.fiberglass is perfect

There actually was a kit similar on Ontario cl a couple months ago but it had the stock cheaper hardware,Milestones were known for great drums but bad hardware so they were ordered with Pearl or Rogers. Mine is Rogers and I like how the tom arm goes to the bottom of the bass drum to support the toms, they would really distort the thin bass shell if they didn't have it.

Wayne you have quite a collection , very nice

Old post I know, but can someone elaborate on the possible connection between fibes and milestone? Did the molds from fibes really end up with milestone? Makes sense since corder bought fibes and didn’t do the FG thing anymore. The machines had to go SOMEWHERE… I had also read somewhere that they may have gone to stingray, but it was all assumption.

Milestone also sort of copped the look of the fibes lug so that might be a clue to the connection.

Bryan!

I don't believe there is any connection between Milestone drums and Fibes, and I base that on the history of Milestone and just how they were making their fiberglass drums at the time. As pretty much everyone knows now, Paul Mason bought Milestone and all their machinery, etc., but not the name .. thus .. he named his company TEMPUS. What's of interest is that he talks about the fact that Milestone was fabricating their shells in what would be considered backwards to what would be "normal" .. meaning, as he puts it .. from the outside in, rather then your typical "lay up" of fiberglass. Why this might factor in to your question is that he was using the Milestone machinery, molds, and system to manufacture his TEMPUS branded fiberglass drums, and that particular method is not how Fibes did it, or even Blaemire for that matter. At least that was my takeaway on it after I heard it. Don't know that this completely answers your question, but it does "seem" that the Fibes molds weren't involved with the Milestone or TEMPUS way of manufacture.
