Can you place the year of this drum head?

From this picture of the Ludwig & Ludwig stamp on this base drum head, can you tell me what approximate year it is.

I am trying to see if I can find one to buy. This one had three small tears that have old yellow tape covering them. It is 26 inch head. one tear is in center where pedal strikes

Likely original to the kit. Just my opinion and no offense is meant- there's nothing you can do to increase the value of that kit. The only thing you can do is lessen its value. Think of it as something you might see in the Smithsonian.

Thanks for that. Good to get it through my thick skull to just leave it alone. Don't want to be like those actors who try to fight off old age with plastic surgery only to look way worse.

It is kind of a shame that I found out what the set is because I was having a lot of fun playing it these last 7 months, and the 26" base does have a great sound, full but not ringing.

I can understand that. I'd want to play it too. I'd be afraid that calf skin heads at almost 80 years old would be very fragile though.
