What exactly does Hybrid mean specially with Zildjian K's. I see them, never played them, does that mean they were raised on genetically engineered soil? LOL.........Lame
Can someone explain "Hybrid" Last viewed: 7 hours ago

They are a combination of shiny polished and natural un-polished. I have a china in this model and it sounds sweet. I don't know if the hybrid nature of it really effects it that much, I just like it and it looks cool.

Man, hybrids are all I play! My two main cymbals are Istanbul Sultans. The zones on the cymbals just give you more sounds to play around with. They are very versatile cymbals but accuracy counts when you're pulling sounds out of them. They have a tendency to be on the dark side, 'slightly' trashy, and they have great stick. I love mine. I have a 21" ride and a 18" medium crash.

I had some K hybrids once (hats and ride) and they were very bright. I didn't care for those since we mainly play rock music.
Besides the different treatments on the surface,I thought the cymbals diameters
were different,at least the crashes,I thought they were 16 1/4, 18/1/4 etc
