Hi folks,
I started to clean the 1970's Camco that I picked up this week.
Both snare and floor tom cleaned up very nicely and boy to they sound sweet.
The floor tom really sings and produces a resonance which I never heard before, quite spectacular.
It still has a light buzz though which I didn't manage to locate yet. Could it be one of the lug springs. Apparently Camco didn't put felt or foam into them.
Overall, the chrome and wood work is in excellent condition.
Under the lugs, the original color came out but I'm unable to capture the true color with my camera. The original is a light blue but the aged paint has a green-greyisch touch, tending to turquoise. (matches my wallpaper ;) ).
All 4 shells have the number 780 written inside with a red marker,... anybody knows what this means?
Next inline the 12" and 13" toms, I'll keep you posted.
