I've got 6 of the 8mm T-tops I'm not using. I thought I was buying the U.S. sizes.

I know that the 6mm T-Tops will work on the 1/4" American thread. I'm using several on flat based Slingerland and Ludwig 1400 cymbal stands and they actually fit quite nice. You can turn them by hand pretty easily. I have taken them on and off to swap out sleeves and felts, and they come off easily too, and there is no damage to the threading on the stand. In fact, just to test, I put on the original 1/4" Ludwig wing nut and it spun on just as easily as before.

So, if you can find some 6mm, they will work. I think Explorer's Percussion had some, you want to contact them.
