Hi all,
I've a few vintage snares I am giving up. I am not certain how to post pictures here, so contact me and I will send them along if interested.
Rather give them a go here instead of egad...
1. George Stone student model, missing a 3 tension rods and clips, constructed of 3 retaining rings, with what appears to be a maple shell.
original badge, strainer, snares.
2. Leedy Multi Model, late 20's I am guessing, wood shell, 15 x 3, appears to
be aluminum die cast rims, slot head tension rods, purchased from Mike Curatto about a decade ago, very nice drum in excellent shape
3. Leedy 5.5" x 14 blue transition badge snare, oddity with single flange hoops and clips, 8 lug, strainer appears original, dated "dec-9-1958" , looks like older respray, but could be original ( some overspray on the interior )
also marked " I M " next to the date.
4. Ludwig Gold badge ( ludwig logo over crossed sticks, "ludwig drum co chicago IL ) - shell is white interior, paint is flaking all over, replacement rims, 6 x 14 - belive strainer / butt to be original. cheap restoration drum.
5. Leedy China tom, tack heads, original, "China type - Leedy " marked on both sides of the drum, about 10 x 6 - old refinish
6. Slingerland Radio King side tom, 14 x 12, no badge, no vent hole, streamline lugs, radio king engraved rims, clips. Original calf heads ( 1 tear on one side )
That's about if for now, just looking to clean out a bunch of the stuff hanging around. Let me know if your interested, and I'll send along pictures. All reasonable prices. Also, if anyone is interested in advising me on prices feel free!!
