Bring wrap on Camco snare shell back to original color?

Loading...

Hey Guys.

Any ideas on if I can safely bring this wrap back to the original shade of sky blue?

I have the Novus 1 and 2 but I'm thinking it might not really do much good as the wrap is pretty smooth and shiny, it has just darkened quite a bit. No big deal if there really isn't anything that can be done as once all of the hardware is on, the wrap that will show should be pretty uniform in color, just quite a bit darker than when it was new.

One thing I have tried in the past is 3M Headlight Restorer.

I used mine on an MIJ kit that was Silver Glitter. Here is the thread I posted about it:

Here's the kit set up "after":

I achieved very good results. Keep in mind, mine was on a kit that was a light color. I have not tried it on a darker color kit. It certainly didn't hurt the wrap, it actually made it look much better, so there is no harm in trying. You have nothing to lose, except some time and a small expense.

You know my thoughts on it haha. I really think the wrap on that drum can come back to life. Fun project!
