Hey everyone. Just after starting a BR 4"x14" slingerland project,I was fortunate enough to find and purchase a real one. I'm going to make a pattern for the hardware hole locations,so if anyone would like a copy of this pattern to make your own project easier, just let me know and I'll send ya' one free of charge. Cheers !

Hi famousdave!

I'd like to have one of your patterns. I'm having a 4x14 BR snare drum built for me, but drilled only for the lugs. Would like to see where your Zoomatic and butt are located. Please PM me.

Thanks!

This is kinda a duplicate post, 'cause I just mentioned this in my thread... but I am interested in getting a copy of your pattern, too!

Thanks,

Bill

Hey guys,

Be glad to send a pattern just as soon as I can be pried off my new toy long enough to disassemble the drum ! If you would email your addresses to davezilla66@gmail,com, I'll make the patterns and send them ASAP. Good luck with the builds, and when my repro stickchoppers get here on Tues. I'll let you know how they look....Dave

I'm not yet ready to pony up for the price of even the repro stick choppers, so I'll be using a nice set of COB Stick Savers. Just heard from Andy Foote, of Drummaker.com, that my shell is done and has been sent. Finally!

Hey guys ! Received the repro stick choppers today, and they're pretty close to the Slingerlands. The snare profile is slightly different in that it's straight across as opposed to being slightly extended down below the rim. Tension rod indentations on the side are slightly deeper than original, but very nice COB,and overall a real nice alternative at a reasonable price.......I'll email detailed pics of the side by side comparison if anyone is interested cheers !
