Loading...

Couldn't find eBay category on forum. Was it ousted? Anywho, is this a clever re-wrap or pristine Pioneer?

Please clue me in if there is another thread about this auction. If not, what's the verdict? :)

Always looking, but focused for now on Psych Red(hint)and man are those escalating! ;) I'm sure a lot of people are zeroing in on BOP, then stumbling upon OTHER similar finishes so ALL of that ilk are fetching higher prices.

That is a beautiful drum, but not quite the "Real Deal" as advertised. As Ringo fans know, the snare drum used during his tenure with The Beatles was manufactured sometime between 1962-63. It had a pre-serial number Keystone badge which was located one lug left of the P-83 strainer. The drum also had a "baseball bat" muffler (w/ red felt) and chrome-over-brass rims.

This 1969 drum has steel rims, the later knob strainer. Also, Ludwig repositioned the "baseball bat" handle and Keystone badge one space away from the strainer in 1964 (along with changing to a white felt muffler).

Again, it's a gorgeous drum but not worth $5000 for sure.
