Black or Blue Oyster Pearl?

Loading...

Hey everyone. Could someone tell me if this finish is black oyster pearl or blue oyster pearl? I've got a horrible eye for color and have stared at picture after picture of examples of the finish to try to figure it out. I'm like 95% sure it's blue, but want someone with a bit more experience to confirm.

Picture!

Thanks a ton.

I have a mid-60's Ludwig kit in oyster black pearl and the photo you posted seems to be a good match.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

It is. Family member of a close friend has it. Sent me a pic, but not much of one.

This isn’t from the Craigslist ad in New York claiming to have an OBP Jazz Fest for $1, is it? Your Imgur link no longer works but it looked a lot like that photo from what I remember.

The drum in the ad had the badge on the panel next to the P-83. It was definitely a joke, but how sweet would it be to find a real Ringo snare someone is just giving away.

Nope! Haven't seen that, unless my friend is just messing with me and sent me that pic.

In which case I'd have to have a long talk with him about what jokes aren't funny.
