Best way to clean up a Ludwig Blue/Olive Badge Acrolite Snare?

Loading...

Hey all,

I just bought a used (obviously!) Ludwig Acrolite snare. It is the Blue/Olive badge kind. It's in decent shape, but it's very dirty with some scratching and there are some tape residue marks etc. on the shell itself. Does anyone know a good way to clean up an Acrolite without damaging the finish?

Thanks for your help!

you need to disassemble the entire drum, clean the shell with windex, or soap and water, you can clean it in the bathtub! warm water and soap a soft cloth or brush, that is if your significant other will let you?

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

That worked for my Acro. After I cleaned it I lightly rubbed with polishing compound and buffed by hand with a soft cloth.
